Malaga have confirmed Jeremy Toulalan has undergone a successful operation on a foot injury, but have not set a date for the midfielder's return.

Toulalan recently suffered a stress fracture to the fifth metatarsal of his left foot and he has sat out Malaga's last two games against Real Madrid and Rayo Vallecano. The France international had surgery in his home town of Nanteson Tuesday morning and is due to return to his club in the middle of next month.
Malaga have not announced when the 28-year-old is expected to be back in action but, with just nine rounds of the Primera Division season left, the Andalusian side will be planning for life without the formerLyon man. A club statement read: "The midfielder, whose left foot has been immobilised, will remain resting in his home town and will return to Malaga to continue his recovery in the middle of April." Toulalan has made 28 starts for big-spending Malaga this season following his summer switch from Lyon, helping the club climb up to fourth spot in the standings, level on 47 points with third-placed Valencia.
