Celtic Shock Barcelona in UEFA Champions League Home Win

THE LATEST UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE NEWS – Scottish Premier League champions Celtic gained a surprise 2-1 home win over giants Barcelona in their Champions League match on Wednesday. Two goals brought the hosts to triumph against a Barça squad that failed to score until Lionel Messi’s 90th-minute effort.

Celtic looked poised to win with ease against a jaded Barcelona side. Victor Wanyama fired a header past namesake keeper Victor Valdes. The Spanish side sought to equalize but failed to create chances.

Tony Watt, coming in as a substitute, scored Celtic’s second goal seven minutes before time. Messi’s last-minute goal proved inadequate to lift the Catalans.
