As Tight As the US Election: Chelsea, Liverpool Figure in Pulsating Draw

THE LATEST ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE NEWS – Chelsea did not manage to get closer to the top spot of the table as their Premier League match against Liverpool on Sunday ended in a pulsating 1-1 draw.

While Chelsea seemed set to win w1th ease through John Terry’s powerful 20th minute header, their celebration was cut short after they failed to break Luis Suarez’ equalizer on the 73rd minute.

Man City Draw with Ajax at UEFA Champions League

THE LATEST UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE NEWS – Manchester City failed to win with ease at their Champions League home match as they levelled with visiting Ajax 2-2.

Ajax captain Siem de Jong lifted his side with two early goals made in the space of seven exhilarating minutes. Yaya Toure redeemed City with a goal in the middle of the first half and Sergio Aguero levelled with a nerve-breaking 74th-minute goal.

Aguero added a second goal for City but officials eventually ruled it offside. Manager Roberto Mancini argued with match officials over the controversial decision, saying that his side failed to clinch victory due to the “wrong decision”.
