From first league, Real trailed by a goal then Cristiano Ronaldo strikes -- the first, a penalty and next is a neat low
finish which put them in control. With a spot kick done by Arjen Robben, he leveled the tie for Bayern. No further
goals meant a shoot-out, which Bastian Schweinsteiger settled to send his team to the final goal. While Mario
Gomez and David Alaba scored for Bayern, the goalkeeper Manuel Neuer played a major part saving real's first two
penalties, from Kaka and Ronaldo. This was the second time in major Champions League shoot-outs ronaldo had
missed from the spot. If you remember he also failed for Manchester United in the 2008 final against Chelsea. So let's

Malaga were left clinging onto fourth place in the Primera Liga and the prospect of UEFA Champions League football next season after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Osasuna.
The result means Malaga have taken only eight of 18 possible points in their last six La Liga matches, and they are now only three points clear of fifth-placed Levante as they go into a difficult run-in that includes fixtures against Valencia, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid. They found themselves trailing to hosts, who are chasing Europa League football themselves, when Francisco Nino opened the scoring in the 53rd minute. Santi Cazorla levelled quarter of an hour later but there was no turnaround for Malaga who have now gone three games without a win.
Osasuna, who knew a victory would put them level with Levante, began brightly to keep Malaga firmly on the back foot. Nino, Francisco Punal and David Timor all had early efforts on goal while Javad Nekounamblasted over. Malaga had to wait until the 34th minute for their first sight on goal but Cazorla's effort was charged down by Damia Abella. Moments later, Nacho Monreal struck the post as Malaga's recent luck showed little sign of changing. It did at least encourage the visitors as they began to pour forward.

The Argentine coach has confessed that he should not have tinkered with his lineup while his troops were 1-0 up at the Jose Alvalade and looking comfortable
Athletic Bilbao boss Marcelo Bielsa has admitted that he erred in taking off Ander Herrera during the second half of Thursday night's Europa League semi-final first-leg defeat by Sporting Lisbon. The Argentine coach withdrew the midfielder with just over 17 minutes remaining and the Basques a goal to the good thanks to Jon Aurtenetxe. Just over 60 seconds later, Emiliano Insua headed Sporting level before Diego Capel then popped up with the winner, leaving Bielsa regretting his decision to replace Herrera with Mikel San Jose. "The team suffered in the absence of Herrera," the former Chile boss told reporters after the game. "I thought we would win more balls while they were attacking because they were just going forward at that stage. "We obviously have to win at home now, but that should not be viewed as an unachievable objective." Athletic had gone into the game as clear favourites in light of their exploits against Manchester United and Schalke in the earlier rounds. However, Bielsa insisted that his players had not been guilty of complacency. "If there is one conclusion that it is simply impossible to draw after this game tonight, it is that Athletic underestimated their opponents," he argued. Athletic and Sporting will meet again at San Mames next Thursday, with the game set to get underway at 21.05CET.

The left-back was beaten to the byline by Philipp Lahm, who then crossed for Mario Gomez to slot home and give the Bavarians a crucial 2-1 advantage ahead of their trip to Spain
Real Madrid defender Pepe has refused to pin the blame on team-mate Fabio Coentrao for Bayern Munich's winning goal in Tuesday night's Champions League semi-final first-leg defeat at the Allianz Arena. Coentrao committed himself to a tackle on Philipp Lahm in the closing stages of the game in Bavaria and was left prone on the turf as the Germany captain skipped past him before whipping the ball over for Mario Gomez to nick a 2-1 victory for the hosts. However, Pepe resisted the temptation to point the finger at his Portugal team-mate during a post-match interview.
"Fabio Coentrao is not to blame for the goal," the centre-half is quoted as saying by his club's official website. "We're all to blame. Football is a collective sport.
"We controlled the match and we're sad about the last minute, but we're also happy because it was important to score and we did."
Indeed, Mesut Ozil's 53rd-minute strike, which had cancelled out Franck Ribery's first-half opener, means that Madrid need only win 1-0 on home soil to book their place in the final and Pepe is anticipating a very different game in the Spanish capital next Wednesday. "[Real Madrid legend] Juanito once said that 90 minutes at the Bernabeu is a very long time," the defender mused. "And we have the quality with which to turn the score around." However, before Bayern's visit to the Santiago Bernabeu, Madrid must travel to Catalunya this weekend for their crunch Clasico clash with Barcelona.

The Blaugrana official has hinted that Saturday's must-win La Liga encounter with Real Madrid at Camp Nou ranks above their trip to London in terms of importance
Barcelona director of football Andoni Zubizarreta is viewing Wednesday night's Champions League semi-final first-leg clash with Chelsea as ideal preparation for this weekend's crucial Clasico. The Blaugrana currently trail La Liga title rivals Real Madrid by four points at the summit of the standings and will host Los Blancos at Camp Nou on Saturday evening.
Consequently, while Barca are desperate to become the first side to successfully defend the European Cup since AC Milan in 1990, Zubizarreta has intimated that, as far as the next few days are concerned, the Catalans' primary goal is defeating Madrid rather than beating the Blues at Stamford Bridge, describing the trip to London as "good preparation for the Clasico. It's a high-octane week." Zubizarreta added, though, that with Real Madrid facing Bayern Munich in the Champions League's other semi-final tie, he is confident that the tournament decider on May 19 will be an all-Spanish affair.
"The Champions League has decreed that we will have a Clascio in the middle of a tie which will also allow us to play another Clasico in the final in Munich," he is quoted as saying bySport.
Barca's meeting with Chelsea gets under way at 20.45CET, with Bayern-Madrid kicking off in Munich at the same time the night before.

The Spain Under-21 international recently returned from a serious knee injury, but has still enjoyed his time with Los Che and would like to remain at the club permanently
Sergio Canales has affirmed his loyalty to Valencia by revealing that he wants to remain at Mestalla next year.
The attacking midfielder joined Los Che on a season-long loan from Real Madrid last summer, but saw his promising start disappointingly halted by a knee injury in October, which sidelined him for six months.
However, he made his long-awaited return during Wednesday's 4-1 win over Rayo Vallecano, and Canales is keen to complete a permanent transfer to Valencia.
"I'm happy. The club and fans make me feel at ease and if I had my way I'd be here next year," Canales told Marca.
"If they buy me, then no problem. Everything for me is perfect here."
Valencia resume Primera Division action on Sunday when they face Espanyol.
